The Shenandoah Conservatory Studio Big Band directed by Matt Niess will be performing at the JENerations Jazz Festival Friday morning at 10:30am in the Colonial Room at the Omni/Championsgate
The Capitol Bones All-Brass Big Band has been performing A Stan Kenton Christmas for over 15 years performing the original works of Stan Kenton, Ralph Carmichael, Mark Taylor and they have added new arrangements to the repertoire. This is the only band that has mellophones in the place of saxophones just as the Kenton Band intended. This year we add a saxophone section and include Ellington's Nutcracker and A Charlie Brown Christmas.
